Wine and Travels

Come for an evening about reflective travel accompanied by good company and a selection of wine and cheese. Euri Vidal from The Surefoot Effect will speak about Surefoot's project, Sustainability, Heritage and Health, and the inspirations for this project. It starts with his month-long pilgrimage walk in Spain, walking from near the French border in the north of Spain to the city of Santiago in the western end of the country following the historical St. James Way, declared in 1987 the first Cultural route of the Council of Europe. The route provides people the space to go into deep reflection.

Euri's experience was such that he decided he wanted to continue walking on a daily basis on his return to Barcelona. Euri developed a walking tour called "Streets of Diversity" that took participants to well-known spots in the city and explored cultural diversity and the protection of nature at the last stop, the Sagrada Familia temple designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Streets of Diversity inspired the Erasmus+ project "Sustainability, Heritage, Health," where participant organisations in Scotland, Greece, Spain, and Lithuania have developed walking routes that address heritage and sustainability issues.

Creativity Builds Resilience

Our Erasmus + 3 year adult education project, Breakthrough for Resilience, has helped us learn a lot about building resilience. One of the themes that became very obvious was that working creatively, individually or in groups, is key to our well-being and therefore key to building our resilience as individuals and communities. So what better place to hold our final event than the Transition Stirling ReUse Hub where community comes together to reuse creatively?
