Geographer and energy specialist Neil Kitching has published Carbon Choices on the common-sense solutions to our climate and nature crises. Neil lives in Dunblane and works in Stirling (pre-covid). Here he outlines five common-sense principles to tackle climate change and considers the community and social implications of the changes that are required.

FROM WOODLAND TO WATER
Transition Stirling has just seen the completion and successful launch of a fine-looking skin-on-frame kayak, made in the wood reuse workshop by one of our volunteers.

TRANSITION STIRLING’S LETTER TO MP
We asked you to share your thoughts on Stephen Kerr, Stirling MP, concern over low level engagement regarding climate change. With such a fantastic response, we sent him a letter detailing our findings.
REUSE HUB GET’S THE GREEN LIGHT!
We are so happy to announce that we have been awarded funding from Zero Waste Scotland to start a Reuse Hub in Stirling.
The project will refurbish items that are currently discarded at the recycling centre, that were destined for landfill or recycling. Once our team have worked their magic and the items are in working order, the items will then be made available to purchase at a low cost through a retail unit.
