Energy Explained

  • Unit 12 Stirling Arcade Stirling (map)

This is the second workshop delivered by Martin Brown. The topic is energy.

This webinar will explain what exactly energy is, how we measure it and what we use. It will also explain 'The Grid' and how we generate energy using coal, gas, and nuclear power. More importantly it will show how energy generation has changed over the years and explain the role of renewables on the grid including solar, wind, hydro and tidal.

The presentation will go on to show how renewables work and what they cost (with a comparison between them and traditional forms of energy). Finally it will explain small scale renewables for the domestic market. This proves to be an informative and engaging presentation which is open to all. There will be an opportunity to ask questions too.

The presentation will be held on Zoom and the link will be sent out to you when you register.
