The gardening workshop will focus on tasks that prepare us for the year’s vegetable growing. You will learn how to:

• Sheet mulch

• Create a hugelkultur bed

• Build a 3-bin pallet compost

• Construct a simple geodesic dome (if there’s time!)

This will be quite a dramatic transformation from what is currently an unkempt veg garden to a space ready for planting in spring. Most tasks will demand fairly intense physical work (digging and lifting) – but do what you can.

Join Nick, Tom and Rosi at Castle Court, Stirling (FK8 1EL), at 10am – 2pm (stay longer if you like) on Saturday 8th February. Tools and gloves will be provided, but please bring your own lunch. There is free parking in front of the house or along the nearby Upper Castlehill Rd/Ballengeich Pass (outside Ballengeich Cemetery).
